Our Story
We first met in 2004 when we both worked with the same organisation, though in completely different sections of it. We got to know each other properly in 2006, when we were studying for our Coaching Diploma. A friendship began and in 2014, we decided to bring our different backgrounds and experience together and found Manage My Career. We are mothers and businesswomen, with a joint love of helping, teaching and advising people on how to improve their career skills and opportunities. Together we are working to help our clients find their career pathway in life and build their courage, conviction and confidence to achieve their goals.
Máiréad has a Post Graduate Diploma in Career Guidance from the University of West Scotland, a Research MA in Student Retention, a Bachelor of Business Studies, is a qualified Career & Business Coach and has a Diploma in Education & Training. She has many years’ experience in business and the IT industry, having worked in the multinational, public, community and voluntary and private sectors as well as in HR and management roles. She is based in Tralee, Co. Kerry. Máiréad is a Registered Professional Member of the Career Development Institute UK.
Máiréad has recently published a book to help parents navigate their child's road to the Leaving Cert and beyond and is also the Founder of the Leaving Cert Parents Club, a coaching programme for parents of final year leaving cert students.
Mary is the first Irish Coach to graduate from the European Systemic Business Academy in Austria and has a degree in Business Management & Marketing. She is also a NLP Practitioner and has further qualifications in Career Coaching, Business Coaching, Training & PR. Following many years business development experience across Europe, Mary is now an active business mentor and has worked with hundreds of business people at various stages of their entrepreneurial journeys. Based in Listowel, Co. Kerry, she views her work as a trainer, coach and mentor as the ideal way of bringing out the best in people and assisting them achieve new career goals and levels of professional success.
